Cribbage Board and Calendar

Today was actually pretty simple, for a change.

I dedicated the majority of the day putting together the cribbage board I promised I would make K-borg probably 3 years ago.  It's pretty much a thank you, farewell, happy birthday present.  I spent last night designing it, this morning getting the right tools and parts and putting the plan out on paper, and this afternoon make the holes for the pegs.  I used the tools at Spencer's to drill the holes.  I could have made a compartment for the pins, but I ran out of time.  I'll post pictures of it tomorrow.

I met up with my sister during the afternoon too, of which she expressed how much she was going to miss me.  I met up with my parents this evening as well and they expressed the same.  It will be the first major separation of the nuclear family.  I tend not to emote too much at departures, but the same can not be said for other members of the family.  I'm very excited about this new chapter in my life.  I'm finding that people who are more sentimental get taken aback at my excitement.

I had put together a calendar of travel and major action for me for the next month.  I couldn't put one together until now because I didn't know until Friday evening when my flight out would even happen and that I needed to get the car to Baltimore ASAP.  The flight especially impacted a lot.  What had been grating on me for the past several weeks was that I didn't know when I was leaving, and most of what I am and would be doing depended upon that date.  Now that I have that piece of information, I've been able to very readily organize things.

On the Georgia front, PT is tomorrow for the first time in a while.  My wife is a little worried that it might be a run and she hasn't specifically trained on running in the past several days.  I'm sure she'll do just fine, but nonetheless, she asks for supportive and positive thoughts to be sent her way.  She also went swimming today for the first time in a while and she felt out of shape but loved it.  I hope there are pools in Germany.
