Trier

J and I wine to Trier April 28. Crazy town but only about an hour drive away. We were able to board Etsy, so we didn't have to worry about her during our weekend.

We got there and it turned out that there was both a choir festival going on in town, a juggling contest, and a Christian artifact in town, specifically the shirt that the soldiers cast lots for when Jesus died on the cross. It apparently is kept in the town for 30 days every 25 years. There was quite a large crowd for the festivals, the shirt, and the roman ruins scattered throughout the town.

We toured the Black Gate and it's museum, the Constantine Basilica, the Electoral Palace gardens, the cathedral that temporarily housed Jesus' shirt, and walked around the roman bath complex next to the gardens. We also had some killer chocolate, ice cream, and some local fast food. It was a gorgeous 80 F day as well!

We ended the day eating Italian, and them crashed. I'll post some pictures as soon as I am able.
